The purchase of Kakuichi’s carport sparked a pivotal moment. Learning about their opportunity to monitor the introduction of Nano Bubble generation devices, I promptly installed and validated their application in both soil and elevated cultivation methods for strawberries.
\nHaving previously served as a greenkeeper at a golf course, I had firsthand experience with the effectiveness of oxygenation agents for soil that tends to harden when compacted. Believing this would undoubtedly benefit strawberry cultivation, I made the decision to introduce the technology without hesitation.<\/p>\n

Why did you install Nano Bubble (NB)?<\/span><\/h2>\n

How was the effect of Nano Bubble?<\/span><\/h2>\n

The first year, we were amazed at the tremendous difference in the vigor of the plants, but unfortunately, the flavor of the fruit dropped off. I hastily discontinued its use, and the flavor returned after about 10 days.
\nRealizing the importance of careful use, I stopped using the NB device and refrained from using it for the next two years.<\/p>\n

Then why do you still use it today?<\/span><\/h2>\n

After consulting with Kakuichi and learning from other strawberry producers that sugar content tends to decrease compared to conventional fertilization and irrigation methods, I decided to explore alternative approaches.
\nUtilizing digital platforms such as Kakuichi’s YouTube channel (Miucchi’s AgriTV) and data provided by Kakuichi, I found information from those who successfully produced the desired strawberries by adapting their irrigation methods and implementing foliar spraying in response to such challenges.
\nThrough the analysis of my cultivation methods and verification results from fellow growers, I decided to shift my perspective. Instead of refraining from using the device, I embraced a mindset of utilizing it by adjusting fertilization and irrigation techniques to make it an integral part of my own expertise.<\/p>\n

How do you approach fertilization and irrigation in your farming practices?<\/span><\/h2>\n

I personally grind leaves to measure nitrate nitrogen and have noticed that the numbers tend to rise the day after NB irrigation.
\nExcess nitrogen leads to overgreening, and this is the evidence. In high greenhouses with poor drainage, we have adjusted the irrigation rate and slightly reduced irrigation while increasing EC. Similar cultivation management has been applied to soil cultivation.
\nI recently read the AQUA DATA BOOK, a limited-edition collection of nanobubble data that summarizes Kakuichi’s nanobubble technology, which further deepened my understanding. He aims to apply this cultivation strategy to increase yield while maintaining a constant sugar content.<\/p>\n

About the future<\/span><\/h2>\n

I expect the strawberry market to become saturated in the near future as the number of growers increases.
\nTo this end, I believe it is important to establish cultivation methods that not only reduce costs and labor, but also enhance taste and yield, and I hope to excel in this area to survive in a saturated market by mastering the use of NB and staying abreast of technological innovations in other materials.\u201c<\/p>\n
