【Gunma】Increase the irrigation volume! Size up with Nano Bubbles!!

Isesaki City, Gunma Prefecture
Mr. Yasuaki Tamegai

I took over the family business and became a tomato farmer, initially aiming to establish a technology for long-term overwintering cultivation.

However, in recent years, the market price of tomatoes in winter began to decline, and my technical capabilities at that time could not compensate for this, so I switched to strawberry cultivation, which only led to a decrease in profits. Currently, I have 45 years of cultivation experience, 27 years in tomatoes and 18 years in strawberries.

I like new things and new approaches, and I am actively cultivating new varieties.

Why did you install Nano Bubbles?

In 2019, we introduced a Nano Bubble generation device through a referral from the sales representative at Kakuichi A-SITE Isesaki.

How were the effects of Nano Bubbles?

We have experienced a noticeable impact on the enlargement of fruits since the introduction of the Nano Bubble generation device. “Kaorino” is an early-maturing variety, and we used to face the challenge of smaller-sized fruits.
Starting from the middle of 2020, we began utilizing the device and gained positive results. From 2021 onwards, with the full implementation of oxygenated Nano Bubble water and an increased irrigation volume, we observed an increase in the proportion of fruits reaching the 3L size for shipment.

What are some tips and pointers for using Nano Bubbles in strawberry cultivation?

What are the key tips and points for mastering the use of Nano Bubbles in strawberry cultivation?

We also feel that the growth rate increases when oxygen is supplied.
The average daily temperature is lowered slightly as the growth rate increases, and this seems to improve fruit enlargement and sugar content.

We have been gradually lowering the temperature in early spring as the growth rate increases, but we feel that this has become more pronounced with the oxygen supply.
